Terms of use

This site is free, sells nothing, and takes no money. These terms cover what we publish and what you can expect from it.

Last updated 26 July 2026

1. What this service is

Beat My Bill publishes free reference information about contacting UK insurers at renewal, and offers an optional email reminder called Bill Watch. There is nothing to buy. We do not take payment, we do not sell insurance, and we take no commission or referral fee from any insurer named on this site. The service is operated by Beat My Bill Ltd (company no. 17309475), registered in England & Wales.

2. Information only — not advice

Everything here is general information. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, we are not an insurance broker, and we do not provide financial, legal or regulated advice. Nothing on this site is a personal recommendation. Decisions about your insurance are yours, and you should check anything that matters against your own policy documents or take advice from someone qualified to give it.

3. Accuracy, and the limits of our labels

We label every factual claim with how well we have sourced it, and we explain exactly what those labels mean on How we verify. Please read that page before relying on anything here.

A Verified label means we traced a claim to a named published source on a stated date. It is not a guarantee that the information is still correct today. Phone numbers change, insurers restructure, and fees are revised. Always check a number against your own renewal paperwork before you rely on it.

4. No guaranteed outcome

We do not promise that contacting your insurer will reduce your premium, and we publish no savings figures. Where we describe what insurers typically do, or refer to outcomes other people have reported, that is background — not a prediction about your policy, your risk profile or your renewal.

5. Bill Watch emails

Bill Watch is free and optional. You will only receive it if you confirm your address by clicking the link in the confirmation email we send. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We may change, pause or withdraw the reminder service at any time. How we handle your address is set out in our privacy policy.

6. Acceptable use

Use the site for your own purposes and don't misuse it: no scraping at a scale that degrades the service, no attempts to break or interfere with it, and no republishing our pages wholesale as your own. Linking to us is welcome and needs no permission.

7. Intellectual property and third parties

The wording, structure and branding of this site are owned by Beat My Bill Ltd. Insurer names and trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used here only to identify the companies we write about. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any insurer mentioned.

Where we link to another organisation's website we are not responsible for its content.

8. Liability

This is a free information service, provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information published here — including calling a number that turns out to be wrong or out of date. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. They are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms, or think something here is wrong? Email hello@beatmybill.co.uk. If a number is out of date we want to know.
